Biography

Bucktown — Kate Boggiano was founded in November 2006 by Chicago native Kate Coxworth. After graduating from Indiana University, Kate moved to New York City where she immersed herself in the fast-paced, world famous fashion industry. Kate always knew that one day she would take the experience and knowledge that she was receiving and apply it to her own company and brand. That day arrived in the fall of 2006 when Kate decided to take a leap and start Kate Boggiano. Ms. Coxworth said goodbye to the safety of a paycheck and resigned from the well known brand Polo Ralph Lauren. Kate left NYC and headed to familiar territory, Chicago, IL, and the unfamiliar experience of being a new designer and starting a new company.

Founded on the principles of high quality and great fitting clothes that are manufactured in the USA, Kate insisted that instead of trying to be a lifestyle brand from the beginning, the brand Kate Boggiano would become an expert in one area of fashion first and grow from there.
