Biography

Gold Coast — A University of Minnesota graduate, with a focus in textile and design, Adam’s love affair with the fashion industry began at a young age. She was a Vogue magazine subscriber before her sixth birthday. Her Barbie infatuation coupled with her obsession for fashionable pop culture grew into a fascination with design. A competitive figure skater for 12 years, her earliest work was as a costume designer of competitive skating dresses with intricate crystal beading.

Allie Adams was honored as one of Gen Art’s Fresh Faces for 2003 and 2005. Featured in Women’s Wear Daily’s “Ones to Watch” section, Doris Ruth has quickly found its way into many of the chic boutiques across the country, turning heads and collecting fans from coast to coast.
