Julie Fehler and Holly Greenhagen

Biography

In 2003 these two Columbia College instructors turned their love of sewing and vintage clothes into a wedding dress business like no other. Their designs combine retro details with modern lines and textures—and sometimes, the perfect sassy detail. Julie and Holly approach each dress as a small feat of engineering and pride themselves on acheiving the perfect fit.

Julie is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati fashion design program and a veteran of the Chicago fashion scene (you may remember her designs from Made to Fit). Holly started her professional life with a journalism degree from Northwestern, but in a mid-20s life crisis decided to chuck her job for a stint at the Fashion Institute of Merchandising and Design in LA.

All Dame Couture dresses are made sweatshop-free right here in the Windy City, at a woman-owned sewing facility.
