Alyce Designs is a 40-year-old, family-owned and team-driven manufacturer of women’s evening wear. Alyce Designs has been nationally recognized for their “Distinguished Excellence” in prom, bridal, and special occasion dresses. Alyce Hamm, a native of Alsace-Lorraine, France, opened Alyce Designs in 1967 with her brother Jean-Paul Hamm, the company’s President and C.E.O. In 1955, Alyce emigrated to the United States from Paris, where she trained as a costume designer at the prestigious Paris Ecole de Couture. Says Alyce, “It was a dream for me that my company become internationally successful. My designs are worn by women around the world.”
Alyce herself is now semi-retired; she travels around the globe and enjoys the fruits of her immense success. Jean-Paul Hamm remains at the helm as the company’s fearless commander-in-chief. Jean-Paul has contributed staggering amounts of logistics, innovation and ideas that have revolutionized and morphed a once-fledgling national industry into an international trade. He is eager to pass on the baton to the next generation that includes co-designers daughter Claudine and niece Nathalie. Alyce maintains a network of national showrooms and international representatives in Europe, South America and the Middle East. Recently, the ever-expanding company introduced several new collections, including a couture gowns division, “Black Label Collection”, an avant-garde wedding division, “The Bridal Collection”, and an upscale pageant division, “The Diva Collection”.
The result of this prodigious, long-term effort? An extensive national award-winning manufacturer: 20 DEBI awards, a Chicago Designer of the Year Award, a Manufacturer of the Year Award, numerous DIVA awards, and a Desert Rose Award.
Women in the public eye look to Alyce for our unique designs and elegant styles.
